Site Building – What’s Easy to Build Websites?

Site building is the new craze online, so, what app is easy to build websites? When digging through the jungle of content online – it’s easy to get started on the wrong site builder. This blog will quickly give you insights into my opinion on what I consider easy to build.

If you missed our previous blog post: take a look at the list of free site builders that offer a free subdomain!

What Website Builder Offers a Free Subdomain?

Personally, I enjoy websites that are so easy to administrate; a dog could do it.

Because the last thing you want is a long process to generate something simple!

Don’t think you will have time to blog? Start with a voice to text!

Our easy to build scale is 1 being the lowest score and 10 being the best score. Because if it’s not easy, it’s going to take a long time to be successful, and users will stick around if the website isn’t attractive. If it takes ages to make it attractive, then we recommend trying another website builder.

Site building App – Zoho Sites – Easy to build = 5

A rather low rating in my opinion – not worth the investment to pay for their service but it’s worth the time to create a free subdomain and write refreshing content that gets indexed – with links pointing back to your domain.

The product is a little dated – the application usage feels dated – and it’s not as intuitive as other products in the list.

Zoho Sites offers a free subdomain, without SSL, which means it won’t rank as high as someone else with similar content and SSL.

More on SSL, if you’re not currently using SSL – here’s what Google has to say.

Site building App – Weebly – Easy to build = 9

Weebly is one of the most natural site builders on the market, and the user experience is straightforward & intuitive. Although I prefer WordPress because you can own the hosting aspect – but from an ‘easy to build’ perspective – WordPress is not as easy as Weebly.

Site building App – Governor.io – Easy to build = 3

Governor.io is an exciting product and generated for consumers with 10 to 1000+ websites. It offers a unique user experience that I did not enjoy. I relate using new apps to playing video games growing up. If the user experience wasn’t fun, the game goes back to blockbuster without much play time. Similar to this 14-day trial of Governor.io.

From my perspective – it’s worth grabbing a free subdomain from Governor.io, and that’s it. The product demo shows off entirely built templates, totes you will have access to these models, but when you get into it – you realize you’re going to be creating everything manually. No preset images, no preset icons, and a lot of clicking to generate a simple website.

Not the best example website because it took a long time to move the needle on this app. I chat about my usage of the product here.

Site building App – Blogger – Easy to use = 8

Blogger.com is Googles blogging product. It predates most site builders and offers quick access to blogging. It’s easy to get started, it’s easy to use, and it’s a great place to start writing about your passions.

Again, if you’re not sure when you will have time to blog? Start with the voice to text in a notepad on your phone, and paste it into your blogger. It doesn’t need to be perfect, and you can always edit blogs!
