DEV3LOPCOM, LLC is an Austin, Texas consultancy that builds web applications end to end: React and Next.js frontends, Astro for content-heavy sites, Node.js APIs behind them, and the database and hosting underneath. We are 100% onshore — no handoff to a team you never meet — and we ship applications, not mockups.
We came to web development from data and analytics. That background shows in the work: interfaces backed by real queries, dashboards that stay fast when the tables get big, and admin tools that people use forty hours a week without cursing. Our work for Lever — 282 SQL queries, 186 Tableau workbooks, and 11 Python apps behind an estimated 22,000 hours saved per year — was as much interface engineering as data engineering.
How an engagement runs
Assess. For a new build, we spend the first sessions on the workflow the app must serve — screens come after. For an existing app, we start with measurements: Core Web Vitals, bundle size, API latency, and where the framework version has drifted from supported.
Design. We pick the lightest stack that fits. A content site does not need a React SPA; Astro or server-rendered pages beat it on speed and SEO. An internal tool with heavy interaction earns React. We write down the choice and the reasons so it survives team turnover.
Build. TypeScript, componentized UI, accessible markup, and CI/CD from the first sprint so every merge is deployable. Backends are typically Node.js — the same practice behind our Node.js consulting services — and we handle deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP through our cloud infrastructure work when you do not have an ops team.
Hand off. Your repo, your infrastructure, documented. We stay available for iterations, but nothing about the build requires us.
Problems we fix
- Sites that score poorly on Core Web Vitals and slide down search results — fixed with rendering strategy, image discipline, and cutting JavaScript that never needed to ship.
- SPAs that grew from a landing page into 2 MB of bundle. We split, lazy-load, and often move whole sections back to static rendering.
- Dashboards that hammer production databases from the browser. We put an API and a proper query layer in between; when the data itself is the bottleneck, our data pipeline consulting practice takes over.
- Frameworks three major versions behind, blocking every new hire’s first week. We plan and execute incremental upgrades without stopping feature work.
- Template sites that no longer fit the business — rebuilt as custom applications shaped around the actual workflow.
