We build and repair Azure environments: App Service and Azure Functions, AKS, Azure SQL and Managed Instance, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake Storage, Event Hubs, and the Entra ID and networking configuration underneath. Because most Azure shops are also Microsoft shops end to end, we regularly wire Azure into SQL Server, Power BI, and the line-of-business apps your teams already live in.
Our roots are in data. We have delivered streaming data and occupancy dashboards across 80+ ExxonMobil campuses and built pipelines that process trillions of records — so when we design Azure infrastructure, we design it around the data that has to move through it.
How an engagement runs
Assess. We start with Azure Advisor, Cost Management, and a tenant walkthrough. Common findings: orphaned disks and public IPs still billing, App Service plans sized by guesswork, one subscription doing the job of five, and RBAC assignments nobody can explain.
Design. We write down the target architecture and the trade-offs. Azure SQL serverless saves money on spiky workloads but adds cold-start latency; Synapse dedicated pools are fast but expensive when idle, and Fabric or serverless SQL may fit better. You get the reasoning, not just the diagram.
Build. Infrastructure ships as code — Bicep or Terraform — deployed through Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions. Secrets go in Key Vault. Environments are reproducible, and prod stops being a snowflake.
Hand off. Runbooks, cost dashboards, and pairing sessions with your engineers so the environment stays understood after we leave.
Problems we fix on Azure
- Migrations stalled halfway: half the estate on-premises, half in Azure, and an ExpressRoute bill for the privilege. We finish the move or make the hybrid state deliberate.
- Data Factory pipelines that fail silently and get restarted by hand. We add monitoring, retries, and alerting — or rebuild the flow properly. Pipeline architecture is our core practice: see data pipeline consulting.
- Power BI reports that time out because they query transactional Azure SQL directly. We put a real analytics layer between them.
- Security drift: broad Contributor grants, no Defender for Cloud baseline, secrets in app settings. We tighten with least-privilege RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Policy — pragmatically, without freezing your developers.
- CI/CD that exists on paper. We make the pipeline the only path to production.
